Church in Albuquerque

Have you been looking for another Church in Albuquerque

Well‚Ķlook no further.  I really want to tell you about a reliable church called New Life City.

New Life City, or NLC, was started by Alan & Gail Hawkins in about the year 2000.  Pastor Alan is definitely one of the best teachers in the Body of Christ today.  He has got a passion for Christ & a enthusiasm for people to practically live out the word of God.

Alan desired to begin a functional Word & Power church.  That implies a church that possesses a love with regard to the Word of God & at the exact same occasion  provides room for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be able to work.

Being a missionary I have experienced the opportunity to voyage all over the world and this in turn is one of the finest Word & Power churches that My spouse and i have actually been to.  A person usually get either a church which focus primarily on the Word of God or a church that concentrates mainly on the Power of God.  Incredibly rarely do you actually find a church that genuinely does both equally!

One particular of my favorite things pertaining to this church is that they think that God cares about your life now.  Not merely when you expire.

The Kingdom of God is definitely here in order to make a big difference in an individual’s life.

There is 2 issues which this church teaches which are generally totally different when compared with most of the other churches.

1. Pastor Alan teaches that the entire emphasis of The lord’s work amongst man kind is simply covenant.  He does a class once a year or so named “The Emmaus Road” which is where he guides you through Genesis to Revelation and explains the way the covenant has been the actual theme throughout the entire Scriptures.

2. He shows you that the book of Revelation isn’t really about some strange stuff that’s likely to come about in the future.  He states that the book of revelation presents all of us practical insight on exactly how to deal with every single problem that may actually come at all of us.  Thoroughly DIFFERENT!  This teaching is known as “Apocalypse Now”

Merely wanted to write regarding my personal experience with New Life City.  If it turns out you desire to check these people out yourselves; they meet at:

6pm on Saturday
10am on Sunday

The address for the church is:

4830 Pan American Fwy.
Albuquerque, NM 87109

Or you can give them a call at (505) 323-3900

You’ll love this Non-Denominational Church in Albuquerque.

How To Set Up Your First Home

Posted on June 29th, 2010

You’re finally done with college, and you have accepted your first job, most likely you are also going to be setting up your very first home that is all your own. That is a lot of new responsibility that you are taking on, and being somewhat prepared for the transition is going to make is so much easier. Here are a few ideas that will make your new apartment or house a little easier to get along with.

Take stock of what you already have. Most likely you have a bed and dresser in the home you grew up in, ask your parents if you can take it with you. You probably also have a little furniture from your college days, that will get you through until you have a couple paychecks under your belt. The less you have to buy, the better.

Some of the more important things to worry about is making sure that you have cleaning products to wash windows, drawers, floors, bathroom fixtures, and a vacuum for carpeted areas. Since you are going to want to move into a clean home, have these on hand and do all the cleaning first. Don’t rely on someone else to do a thorough job, go back over everything to make sure it’s done right.

The most important room in any home is always the kitchen. If you think about it, people always gravitate toward that one room. Maybe you are giving a dinner party, someone is going to offer to assist you in the kitchen, and the next thing you know, everyone is in there. A solid table and chair set is going to go much farther than coffee tables or area rugs. In addition to that, the right cooking utensils will make any prep work easier.

You really do need to purchase a quality kitchen knife set instead of cheaper knives. Spending a little more here can save you a lot of money in the long run. Not only will you not be replacing them constantly, they are made with as much safety in mind as knives can be. Having a cheap blade that breaks with in use can become instantly disastrous.

You should consider buying a knife block set. They keep your new knives sharp and safe, and where you need them the most. You won’t have to dig through a drawer and possibly cut yourself if you can easily see the one you need.

When you purchase a small kitchen appliance, think about quality here, also. Granted, a toaster can be less expensive, after all you only need it to toast your bread, but when buying other appliances do a little recon and make sure you get the top of the line. One appliance that is really important is a Cuisinart hand mixer. These have one of the best warranties on the market and are known to be both tough and handsome.

Well, other than the kitchen, the last room that’s really important is the bathroom. Make sure you have plenty of towels and a good non-slip bath rug. Of course you will probably need a shower curtain so make sure you get one that is going to last for a while. I highly suggest going with fabric as it’s simple to wash up and won’t tear and give you problems within a couple of months. Once again, it’s an issue of quality over cost. In the long run, remembering when you can afford quality to buy it is actually going to save you a lot of money.

Safety Features Of Loft Beds

Posted on June 29th, 2010

Finding a loft bed with desk that will provide safety to user is a top priority. Lofts are great enhancements to any room. They are not only attractive to look at but very practical to use. That is why it is extremely important that you find one that will fit your weight and safety requirements.

These are few of the safety features and guidelines you should look into when choosing lofts:

Weight capacity. Some lofts cannot carry more than 200 pounds of weight. This is because most manufacturers designed the lofts for children. If you are unsure about the weight capacity, you should inquire. A 200 pound capacity may seem a lot but if you consider the weight of the mattress and the foundation plus the weight of the person, this might not be adequate.

Safety Mattress. The mattress should be tied to bed rails. Kids who play with the upper mattress might untie the mattress and could pin the child. The mattress foundation should be strong for safety reasons.

The mattress size is vital also. Loft mattress thickness is often 6 inches. If it is not thick enough, your mattress could slide out of bed while you are sleeping. The frame should go around a mattress to prevent a fall.

Firm Safety Rails. The safety rails of upper mattress should be at the very least 5 inches long. Anything lesser would be unsafe. If you roll out of upper mattress, remember that you will fall to floor. This could cause injuries or even be fatal. Guardrails can prevent that from happening.

Safety Ladder. The ladder must be attached to loft so it will not move while you are climbing. The ladders should be screwed or bolted not just hanged.

If you hang things in your loft, make sure that you do not install hooks, for hanging clothes or a roasting pan, near the ladder. This could hurt you if this sharp tip could catch your clothes or it stabs at you. Pointed things should be kept underneath not near the ladder.

Strong bed stilts. The bed should not move when you are climbing the ladder. It must be able to carry your weight. You do not feel like the bed is about to collapse on you. It should make you feel secure. It does need to lean to the wall for support. Lofts should not be attached to a wall through a bolt.

Wood frames must not utilize pressure treated lumber. This timber is not intended for indoors sue because of its toxic component. Do not use this wood for your loft bed.

Turning Listening Into An Art

Posted on June 29th, 2010

When you think of listening, what comes to mind? Maybe you see yourself pausing with your mouth shut while someone rambles on. You want to speak, but you try very hard to be polite. Maybe sometime in the near future, this person will shut up. Then you can speak your piece. After all, that is what is really important.

It matters little what the person is talking about. Maybe he or she is talking about knife sets. Perhaps it is about saving the environment. Many people could care less, deep down inside. They are too busy waiting for their turn to speak.

In most cases, it may not be this extreme. However, most people are guilty of this more often than they think. This type of behavior can be destructive for several reasons. Here are just a few of them.

Learning

Learning is a process that works best when you listen. When the mouth is open, it somehow shuts off the ears. The mouth should be shut to improve learning. Besides, when you speak, you are relating things that you already know. There is no new knowledge entering your head.

Opportunities

It is best to try an clear the mind, when listening. Forget about your needs for just a few moments. This can allow you to utilize your maximum learning potential. It may be similar to being in the kitchen. Suppose you have to prepare a large salad for many people. Are you going to use dull and cheap knives. If you use something like a Henckels knife set, it will work much better. Utilize the best tools that you can, in any situation.

If you listen with a closed mind and open mouth, you use cheap tools. If you clear the mind and make an attempt to learn, you use good tools. Good tools are more effective and are also easier to use. It will not be hard to actually listen, once you form the habit.

Impression

Nothing impresses people more than a captive audience. If you listen intently, you make a good impression. Do you want to be popular with the opposite sex? Listen to what they have to say. This may open up many new opportunities.

Summary

There is much to learn in this world. A great deal of knowledge can be acquired by listening. It is far more detailed than waiting for your turn to talk. Clear you thoughts and concentrate. You need to give yourself the best possible tools for listening. It is like choosing between cheap knives and a good knife block set. Do you wish to make a good impression with the opposite sex. Turn yourself into their captive audience.
